Our Story

Gallery Ohmar, an art gallery that was first established in 2025, is dedicated to an artist and collector herself, Ma Ohmar and her art collection as well as the art pieces that she had created during her lifetime. She was an avid lover of art, and thus, as a tribute to her, our owner and team worked to represent her through exhibitions of her collections. The gallery is dedicated to supporting artistic visionaries in the hopes of becoming a space for art, creativity and cultural exchange; as well as to foster artistic expression and engagement within the community.

We envision Gallery Ohmar as a leading cultural hub that brings Myanmar art to the global stage. Through bold curation and cross-cultural exchange, we aim to inspire new perspectives and elevate Burmese creativity worldwide.

Mission

Gallery Ohmar celebrates artistic freedom and innovation by showcasing contemporary art, performances, and multimedia works. We support both emerging and established Burmese artists, focusing on experimental and time-based practices. Our mission is to connect creative voices and spark dialogue across cultures.
